    Notes:

    Married:
When James Cameron married his third wife, Pearl Boone, in 1915, one of their witnesses was James’ daughter, Luetta Buchanan. She and Pearl were nearly the same age and became life-long friends. After Laura died, James had asked Pearl to be his housekeeper and babysitter. Pearl's father, Kenny Boone, thought that it would be unseemly for a young single woman to be in the same household as an older, unmarried man. He would permit the move only if Pearl and James were married. Although their marriage registration lists her age at 22, Pearl was born in 1896, making her 19 when she married the 53 years old James in 1915.
